Folks, I was not going there for tour and relaxation. I was going there to for field service at a local power plant. That was my third time in Tawau, yet I am do not have opportunity to explore this place. Semporna, Sandakan, Kota Kinabalu are some of the places in Sabah famous for beaches. I must visit those places after I completed my evening course, Master of Science in Systems and Project Management in Nanyang Technological University. I guess I need 6 to 12 months to complete the course.
There are also quite a number of tasty local dishes in Tawau such as Murtabak, Nasi Lalap (Fried Chicken with rice), Seafood Hotplate Steamboat and curry fish head. Tawau is famous for seafood especially fish and lobster since She is near to the sea.There is also a decent italian restaurant near to King Park Hotel that serve near authentic italian pizza.
One day I will return to Sabah to search for the tasty local cuisine, probably next year. Hopefully when I return to Sabah, Old Town Kopi (Coffee in Malay) cafe will setup in the town. Tawau Town is seriously lacking of decent cafes.
